Lacks 47 leaves, text, and original title pages. Sold as a collection of plates.

Georg Andreas Böckler was an architect in Germany in the 17th century (1644-1698), whose two well-known works are “Architectura Curiosa Nova� and “Theatrum Machinarum Novum�. In Nuremberg, he specialized in hydraulic architecture, and thus was greatly involved in the design and construction of water fountains. “Architectura� was a book on the theoretical as well as the practical side of hydraulic engineering and included 201 leaves of 232 plates detailing various fountain, grotto, and garden designs.
